Below you’ll find answers to common questions about our upcoming retreat. This page is designed to help you feel informed, supported, and at ease as you consider joining us. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

1. When is the retreat? October 10–11, 2026

This is a one-night, two-day retreat designed to offer spaciousness, rest, and meaningful connection.

2. Where is the retreat located?
The retreat will be held at Stratton Brook Hut in Carrabassett Valley, Maine.

3. Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is open to adults 18 years and older. No prior yoga, meditation, or art experience is required—

all practices are accessible and guided with care.

4. What is included in the price?

Your retreat investment includes: - Dinner, dessert, snacks, and breakfast - Coffee and tea
- Lodging at Stratton Brook Hut
- All retreat programming and activities

(Alcohol will be available for purchase if desired.)

5. What is the cost of the retreat?

Pricing varies based on room selection and desired level of privacy. Options include: - Bunk rooms - Double rooms
- Single/private rooms

Payment plans are available, allowing you to spread out your investment in a way that feels supportive. Full pricing details will be shared soon so you can choose what best supports your comfort and budget.

6. What activities are included?

Our time together will include a nourishing blend of guided and spacious experiences, such as: - Welcome ceremony
- Yoga and mindful movement
- Meditation and breathwork

- Expressive art
- Journaling and personal reflection time
- Group gatherings and social connection
- Campfire experience with movement, sound, and ceremony

This retreat is rooted in the season of fall, a time of release and transition. Together, we will explore the theme of letting go—gently reflecting on what you are ready or needing to release, much like the leaves falling from the trees.

There will also be time to rest, explore nature, and simply be.

7. How do we get to the hut?
Stratton Brook Hut is accessed via a 3-mile hike with elevation gain. This hike is a beautiful opportunity to

nature bathe—taking in the sounds, sights, and scents of the forest as you move mindfully toward the hut.

Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by serene, expansive mountain views, including views of Sugarloaf Mountain, and the rich colors of Maine’s fall foliage. The beauty continues at the hut, offering a peaceful, grounding setting to arrive and settle in.

A gear shuttle will be available to transport your belongings to the hut so you can hike comfortably with just what you need for the journey.

8. What should I pack?

A detailed packing list will be shared in advance. In general, you can expect to bring: - Comfortable clothing for yoga and movement
- Warm layers for evenings and outdoor time
- Hiking shoes or sturdy footwear

- Personal toiletries
- Any personal items that support your comfort and well-being

Journals and pens are provided and included in the cost, though you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Because this is an off-the-grid experience, you’ll also want to plan accordingly for limited electricity and connectivity.

9. What will I leave with?

10. Is this retreat physically demanding?

The retreat is designed to be supportive and accessible. The hike into the hut is moderate, and all movement practices are adaptable. Please reach out if you have questions about physical considerations— we are happy to support you.

11. What if I have dietary needs or allergies?

Dietary needs and allergies are very important to us.

When you register, you will be asked to share any dietary needs, allergies, or sensitivities. We will use this information to make thoughtful accommodations whenever possible so you feel safe, nourished, and supported throughout the retreat.

12. What about cell service, Wi‐Fi, and unplugging?

This retreat offers a true opportunity to disconnect and be present. - Cell service is limited - There is no Wi‐Fi
- There are no charging or plug-in stations

In alignment with hut guidelines, cell phone use is not permitted in the main lodge. This helps preserve a peaceful, shared space and supports deeper connection—with yourself, others, and nature.

13. Are there showers and bathrooms?

Yes, showers and bathrooms are available. Please note that the hut operates off the grid, and the shower experience may be different from what you’re used to at home. More details will be shared closer to the retreat so you know exactly what to expect.

14. What if the weather changes?

The retreat will take place regardless of weather, and programming will continue as planned.

While weather does not impact the retreat itself, appropriate clothing will greatly affect your comfort. Dressing in layers and planning for outdoor conditions will help you fully enjoy the experience.

If weather conditions require it, the fire ceremony will be held indoors, ensuring a safe, warm, and meaningful gathering.

15. How do I register?

Registration will take place directly on the website.

Space will be limited to maintain an intimate and supportive container.
